Choosing the right brake combination is one of the most important decisions to make for your car.

We have created a package deal for those who may be starting with a standard car or just simply replacing used items with new discs and pads.

 

DISCS

We have chosen both Pagid and Genuine Renault as our choices for the rear brake discs. We have tested both and found they are both up to the task for road and track cars. Both Brake Discs come fitted with Bearings.

 

PADS

We have chosen a range of different pads to offer. There are a few reasons for this, performance required and budget. There are some pads out there which are suitable for road, road and track or purely track driving where high temperatures and high performance go hand in hand.

We will describe each pad choice individually below, you can then make your mind up based upon the information provided and also the cost.

 

PBS

PBS Protrack –

Introducing PBS Brakes ProTrack Brake Pad Compound – a meticulous blend of ceramic metallic materials designed to redefine your track experience. PBS ProRace –

PBS ProComp –

ProComp pads are made of a high metallic material, with a temperature range of 200-800°C and a Mu range of 0.45-0.48. It is a good all-rounder, with great bite and heat resistance, making it suitable for race applications.
 Working temp 200-800c
ProComp S1 – suitable for sprint, race, and rally applications. Used in TCR cars.
The S1 model is made of a high metallic content material, with a temperature range of 50-800°C and a Mu range of 0.47-0.50. It offers the best lower temperature performance, with high bite and Mu.
Ferodo Pads:
DS2500:

MAIN APPLICATIONS: Track day, light race use, Rear GT

MAIN FEATURES
• Road style refinement but with race material ability to withstand heat with respect to life and µ
• Applications: track day & light race use for all vehicle types
• Average friction coefficient of 0,41 over working temperature range of 0° – 500° C

 

 

DS3000:

MAIN APPLICATIONS: TC, Rally, Formula, Track car with OE brakes

MAIN FEATURES
• Heavy duty all-round material choice
• Short bedding time
• Applications: touring car, rally, Group N, single seat, hill-climb
• Average friction coefficient 0.48 over working temperature range of 200°-650°C

 

DS UNO:

PAGID RACING

 

RS 42

RSL 1 :

Used in GT cars, Touring cars and prototype endurance racing. Due to the high friction and good modulation, often used in sprint races as well.

RSL 1E and RSL 1 are low metallic resin bonded materials containing steel and aramid fibers with very high heat resistance. They maintain a constant friction level over a wide range of temperatures. Their reduced wear rate and disc friendliness make these materials appropriate for endurance races. RSL 1E is further improved in terms of pad life and modulation as well as friction stability at high temperatures and pad life. As a benefit, RSL 1E provides the lowest pad wear rate in the PAGID Racing portfolio for highly thermally loaded applications.

 

 

RSL 29:

Very popular in club racing and track days. GT cars, Touring cars and prototype endurance racing. Due to excellent modulation characteristics also often used in sprint races.

RSL 29 features very good modulation and release characteristics. It is a low metallic resin bonded material containing steel and aramid fibers. The friction level of the material maintains constant at a low-medium level. Another advantage is the easy bedding in behavior.

 

 

Carbon Lorraine (CL Brakes)

 

RC5:

A highly versatile compound that has a wide range of applications, especially if lower brake dust and squeal are a priority. RC5+ are kinder on discs and still offer fantastic stopping power, and are perfect for use with treaded tyres on trackdays. This compound has the the lowest co-efficiency in the range, and can be used with other CL Brake pads to find your perfect level of brake balance without the need of fitting a brake bias.

 

RC6:

An outstanding reference point racing pad, amazing levels of grip and feel. Designed for full racing use with either high grip race compound treaded tyres or full slicks. RC6 has also won many fans within the Rally world as this compound offers high initial bite, but retains feel for gravel sections. If you want to win races or set your fastest times look no further.
